Overview:
Cardiff University Men’s Rugby Club (CUMRC) is seeking a motivated Club Coach to lead and support the development of student-athletes across all teams within the club. With a proud tradition of competitive rugby and a thriving club culture, CUMRC is committed to excellence on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver coaching sessions for BUCS rugby teams.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that supports player development, wellbeing, and progression.
- Work closely with the Head of Rugby and Club Coaches to monitor player development.
- Assist in team selection and match-day coaching for BUCS fixtures.
Essential Requirements:
- Willing to travel
- Commitment to one to two evening sessions weekly.
- Coaching qualifications desirable but not essential, working towards ideal.
- Game availability desirable, not essential.
- Experience coaching desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to supporting player welfare, diversity, and inclusivity.
Desirable Attributes:
- Level 2 Coaching Qualification.
- Experience working within a university or performance sport setting.
- Understanding of BUCS competition structure.
