Cardiff University Men’s Rugby is delighted to announce the extension of its partnership with Bridge Street Exchange – a Now Student Living residence, strengthening an established relationship between the two organisations for a further three years.
The new agreement will see Bridge Street Exchange continue as a major partner of Cardiff University Men’s Rugby through to 2029, building on a relationship that has already provided valuable support to the club and its students.
Situated in the heart of Cardiff, Bridge Street Exchange provides accommodation for students across the city and has developed a strong connection with Cardiff University Men’s Rugby during the existing partnership.
The three-year extension represents a significant commitment to the club and provides Cardiff University Men’s Rugby with valuable long-term support as it continues to develop its performance programme and wider rugby offering.
Chris Davies, Head of Rugby at Cardiff University, said:
“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Bridge Street Exchange for another three years.
“For me, one of the biggest positives is that this isn’t the start of a relationship. We already know each other, we’ve enjoyed working together and there is a genuine desire on both sides to take the partnership even further.
“Long-term partnerships are hugely important to what we are trying to build. Having an organisation prepared to commit to our programme for the next three years gives us stability and allows us to think bigger about what we can achieve together.
The renewed partnership will continue to provide opportunities for Bridge Street Exchange to engage with the club throughout the season, with both organisations looking to develop further activations, events and content across the three-year agreement.
A spokesperson for Bridge Street Exchange said:
“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Cardiff University Men’s Rugby for a further three years.
“We have really enjoyed developing our relationship with the club and have seen first-hand the sense of community, ambition and togetherness that exists within the programme.
“Those values align strongly with what we want to create at Bridge Street Exchange. We want students to feel part of a community and to make the most of their university experience in Cardiff.
“Extending the partnership gives us an exciting opportunity to build on what we have already achieved together and become even more involved with the club, its players and the wider Cardiff University rugby community.”
Cardiff University Men’s Rugby competes at the highest level of university rugby in the UK through its BUCS Super Rugby programme, alongside providing competitive rugby opportunities across the wider club.
The extension is another important step in the continued development of the programme and its network of commercial and community partners.
Davies added:
“The best partnerships shouldn’t feel transactional. We want Bridge Street Exchange to feel part of Cardiff University Men’s Rugby, and this extension gives us three more years to really bring that to life.
“We’re grateful for the confidence they have shown in our programme and incredibly excited about what we can achieve together.”
The extended partnership will run across the 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29 seasons, with further partnership activity set to be announced throughout the coming season.
